Movimiento Tricolor is dedicated to advancing economic empowerment within the Latino community by supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses. As part of this mission, Asociación de Empresarios Unidos operates under MTC as a hub for Latino business owners and professionals, providing resources, mentorship, and advocacy to help businesses grow and thrive. Through business workshops, networking events, and access to financial literacy programs, we equip entrepreneurs with the tools needed for long-term success. By fostering economic resilience, financial empowerment, and stronger community networks, this initiative ensures that Latino business owners have the support and opportunities to scale their businesses and build generational wealth.
Education
Educating the state of New Jersey about the needs of the Dominican-American community as well as creating awareness among the Dominican-American community about issues occurring on a local, state, or national level
Movimiento Tricolor believes that education is a powerful tool for empowerment, cultural preservation, and community advancement. Through scholarships, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences, we support students and professionals in achieving their academic and career goals. Our initiatives, including the Cultural Youth Music Program, provide access to arts education, leadership development, and bilingual learning, fostering a deep connection to Dominican and Latino heritage. By expanding educational opportunities, we aim to equip future generations with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed while strengthening their cultural identity and community impact.
Cultura
The culture of the Dominican-American is prominent in the state of New Jersey. However, the culture is often not united via larger-scale events and activities. In order to enhance the cultural unity within the city, activities to promote and enhance cultural identity are critical
Movimiento Tricolor has become a leading force in promoting Dominican culture in South Jersey through inaugural events, community programs, and cultural initiatives. We are committed to preserving and celebrating Dominican and Latino heritage by creating spaces where traditions thrive through music, dance, storytelling, and the arts. From launching the first Dominican Restoration Day in South Jersey the first flag raising in Camden, NJ to hosting events that highlight our history and contributions, we ensure that cultural pride remains at the heart of our mission. By fostering cultural awareness and connection, we empower future generations to embrace their roots while strengthening the collective identity of our community.
Civic Engagement & Advocacy
Promoting civic involvement throughout the city in order to uplift, unite, and expand the Dominican-American community is necessary to further advance the mission and vision of the organization as well as the enhance the social, political, and economic status of the Dominican-American population
